Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is a plastic resin generally used in bottles and food containers that can be endlessly recycled.
Sadly, the labels on these containers can contaminate the recycling process by leaving residues on the plastic, bringing downcycling and even the total absence of recycling.
That is why Multi-Action offers brand owners a new way to differentiate their products and enhance sustainability. With the CleanFlake™ label technology, you have an adhesive that adheres firmly during the use of the packaging but then cleanly separates in reaction to the caustic bath.
This technology ensures that the labels separate from the PET flakes and cleanly float on the surface, leaving no label or adhesive residue on the PET flake. The PET flakes can then be transformed into food-grade rPET.
