Reducing greenhouse gas emissions: An ever-evolving approach for a positive global impact.
Reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in a flexographic and digital printing plant is crucial to the fight against climate change.
Here are some effective measures we use:
- Use of environmentally-friendly inks: Opt for water-based or UV inks that emit fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs) than solvent-based inks.
- Energy efficiency: Improve the energy efficiency of equipment and processes to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
- Alternative energy sources: Possibility of using other renewable energy sources to power the plant. We currently have a Biénergie system.
- Process optimization: Reduce waste and optimize production processes to minimize emissions. In addition, we use high-efficiency particulate filters.
- Sustainable transport: Encourage the use of electric or hybrid vehicles to transport materials and finished products. However, transport service providers who currently offer this option are still rare. We would welcome discussions with large Canadian carriers who will take the first steps and make this possible. Please contact us if you are one of them.
