Decreasing and recovering production waste

Our concrete actions to reduce waste and repurpose it in various forms.

Here are some key strategies we use:

1. Reduction at source: Optimize production processes to minimize waste generation from the outset. This includes efficient use of selected materials, good management of raw materials and suppliers, excellent management close to the production department, and reduction of production errors and returns.
2. Material sorting: Set up sorting programs for recycling paper, plastic and ink waste, in addition to separating food waste. Recycled materials can be reused in the production process or sold to recycling companies. We recycle cardboard and work closely with a leading partner in this field to reclaim available materials.
3. Recovering production waste: Transforming waste into useful resources. We work closely with a leading partner in this field to reclaim available materials. The method used by our leading expert in this field is to recycle our production waste in 2 ways:
   1. Production of energy directly by combustion as a replacement for coal, thus reducing direct use.
   2. Production of capping materials used by landfill sites, which are obliged to produce a certain quantity each year to meet site needs and increase environmental safety. It is therefore essential to work with a good partner in environmental sustainability to reclaim waste and help reduce GHG emissions. We are a proud partner of AIM/Waste Management.
4. Hazardous waste management: Ensure proper management of hazardous waste, such as solvents and chemicals, to avoid contamination of the environment.
5. Awareness and training: Train employees in waste reduction and recovery practices to encourage responsible and sustainable behavior.
