Job Description

Are you looking for a new challenge and wish to join a devoted team? We are now seeking a Business Improvement and Quality Manager for our facility located in Ajax, Ontario. Our successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Business Improvement Initiatives and Quality Processes or Opportunities for improvement throughout the entire facility. Proposed challenges

Your role and responsibilities :

  • Develop and maintain Quality processes and process flows for entire facility.
  • Train employees to the developed processes and provide ongoing support.
  • Main point of contact for all quality related issues and develop root cause corrective actions for these issues.
  • Audit all quality processes and corrective actions to ensure consistency.
  • Respond to customer or sales inquiries with regards to quality.
  • Work with vendors to ensure compliance to specifications and commitments
  • Measure defect rates, OTD, vendor performance, Inventory accuracy, and any other quality related measurements as required.
  • Work with Leadership Team to identify opportunities for improvement and develop an agreed plan.
  • Plan and schedule all continuous improvement events in conjunction with the Planning and Materials Manager to manage the impact on our production schedule.
  • Coach and Mentor all employees on Lean thought processes
  • Work closely with production and maintenance to optimize efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with all departments with clear instructions and expectations.
  • Continuously pursuing opportunities to reduce costs without impacting quality or service.
  • Maintain a strong collaborative relationship with all departments.
  • Communicate regularly with all facilities driving to best practices and be a resource to support initiatives at all facilities.
  • Provide reports and data analysis as required.
  • Other related duties as required.



Skills requirements :

  • Working knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, procurement, operations etc.)
  • Strong leadership qualities with a natural instinct to lead using a positive can-do attitude with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-driven requiring very little guidance and a strong work ethic.
  • MUST possess a high level of IT knowledge and skills.
  • Highly organized with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical ability.
  • Problem-solving aptitude.
  • Proven extensive experience Leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives in a manufacturing facility
  • Proven working experience implementing and managing Quality Processes in a printing facility

Working conditions

Dayshift, from Monday to Friday (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
